In spring of 2013, Sharpe Suiting, a queer owned company was born. A place where anyone, of any gender identity, could create a suit that not only fit them, but really showcased who they were. Where everyone would be treated with respect. No sidelong glances, or sputtering over what pronoun to use, or uncomfortable feelings on either end. We developed our patented “Andropometrics” system, our trademarked formula for androgenizing, masculinizing, or feminizing the fit to better match the individual identity of each client.
We began doing design consultations for our friends, and slowly our clientele grew through word of mouth. Since then we’ve been featured in Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, Buzzfeed and more. Our suits have strutted proudly on the catwalks of NY and LA Fashion Week, and stepped out on the red carpets of Oscars, Emmys, and Cannes Film Festival.
We’re continually expanding to new cities, and through the thousands of measurements we’ve collected over the years we’ve even created software that can predict body metrics with up to 95% accuracy to better serve our online customers. Through our success, we’ve been able to donate over 70 suits to LGBTQ youth centers, non-profit fundraisers, colleges, and queer prom students across the country.
We’re always evolving…always learning…in the end it’s all about our clients as individuals. Whether for weddings, work, or just for fun, at Sharpe, We Fit You.
